Inspiration

Inspiration is a feeling of enthusiasm you get from someone or something, that gets your mind to think and gives you new and creative ideas. There are many people, events, places, things, information, and ideas that inspire us to learn every day. Look for people, knowledge, ideas, and environments that you find inspiring and motivating.

Ways to be inspired to learn

1. Learn with others

Form or join a book club, science club, writing club, or other learning group. Share information and ideas. Learn skills together. Share your moments of discovery and points of confusion.

2. Give yourself a challenge

Work at the very edge of your abilities, and keep increasing the difficulty as you improve.

3. When you have a question, try to find an answer

When you come across something that you have a question about, search for answers in books and online and then it will open up more things related to it to learn about. Become knowledgeable on one small aspect of a topic, then extend your new expertise outward by exploring how the piece connects to other pieces.

4. Read

There are many things to read that will inspire you. Read online websites, online materials, books, magazines, and other publications.

5. Get out and explore

Visit museums and attractions that encourage learning. Travel to different places.
